It's time to start thinking about julebakst, or Christmas baking. There's nothing like the taste of cardamom, cloves, lingonberries, orange peel, butter, and so many more to put you in the spirit of the Christmas season.

We will be carrying on the tradition of julebakst, or Christmas cooking, when Norwegian households start baking the many cookies, cakes, and other treats necessary to the season. Come share your skills--and learn new ones--as we "cookie up" for the Christmas season. We will be making krumkaker, kransekake, pepperkaker, kryngla, goro, and others. If you have a krumkakerjern, rosette irons, kransekake pans, or other gear, please bring them, as well as any Norwegian family recipes you'd like to share.
This is a great event for all ages, so please invite your children, grandchildren, neighbors, and friends!
