Christmas in Norway is a special time of year, with white lights adorning homes and buildings, Christmas markets in many towns and plazas, and the julenisse waiting in the barn for his Christmas Eve porridge.
You can capture some of this flavor of Christmas in Norway long ago at the home of Steve and Kristen Birkeland in Holladay. Steve has built two beautiful stabbur in his backyard and Kristen is a nationally known rosemaling artist. Together, they have created a truly koselig home for the holidays. Bring your favorite Norwegian/Scandinavian dish or dessert to share.
Silent Auction/Bake Sale
This year, we are also holding a silent auction/bake sale in one of the stabbur where you will be able to purchase Norwegian Christmas treats like julekake, kransekake, fattigman, krumkaker and more.
