About the event
It may be Black Friday for some, but we will be carrying on the tradition of julebakst, or Christmas cooking, when Norwegian households start baking the many cookies, cakes, and other treats appropriate to the season. Come share your skills--and learn new ones--as we "cookie up" for the Christmas season. We will be making krumkaker, kransekake, pepperkaker, kryngla, goro, and others. If you have a krumkakerjern, rosette irons, kransekake pans, or other gear, please bring them, as well as any Norwegian family recipes you'd like to share.
