About the event

With 17.mai just around the corner, it's time to put a "springar" in your step by dusting off your Scandinavian dance skills. Or if you've never danced a reinlender, a springar, or a hambo, now's your chance to learn!

Don't miss this chance to learn Norwegian folk dances taught by Tom Oesleby and Gwen Trefts, founders of the Salt Lake Scandinavian Music and Dance group. They have participated in folk dance events all over the U.S. and Norway and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, yet are willing to work with dancers at all skill levels. Bring your entire family for an evening of fun and be ready to show off your skills on 17.mai!

We encourage you to RSVP so that we have a reasonable idea of how many will be coming. We also encourage (but do not require) you to bring your favorite Norwegian treat.
