Another benefit of membership: Sons of Norway Foundation scholarships

One of the benefits of membership in Sons of Norway is access to Sons of Norway Foundation Scholarships. These scholarships are available for students who are studying in the United States, Norway, or Canada. For the 2024-25 school year, the Sons of Norway Foundation awarded more than $148,000 in scholarships. Applications for the 2025-26 school year will open on October 1, 2025.

To apply for a scholarship, an applicant must have a parent who has been a member of Sons of Norway for at least one year. If you have been a member of Sons of Norway for at least one full year as of October 1, 2025 and have a child attending college or trade school for the 2025-26 school year, you are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

If you are not currently a member but have a child who will be attending college or trade school in the 2026-27 school year, start your membership now to be eligible when next year's application period opens.
